Hi SAS Community,

I'm trying to use "Extract" transformation and for one column I'd like to use parameter defined in "User Written" step.

In "User written" I declare:

%LET parm='abc'

In "Extract" I created new column and in expression field I write:

&parm

I get error:

ERROR: The following columns were not found in the contributing tables: abc

Any idea?

Regards,

Peter

If you intend to use a character value then enclose the macro variable reference in double quotes:

"&parm"

Hope this helps,
