Hi,

Is there a limit for how much RAM SAS can work with? I have heard that SAS can only handle 16GB of RAM on a laptop/PC and that anything above that is really useless when running SAS. Is this correct?

Kind regards,

Per

No, unless you are using an outdated Windows version.
What kind of operations are planninG to do, and what size is your data?

As long as you are using a 64-bit operating system with 64-bit SAS then you are really only limited by the amount of physical memory in your computer. There are memory settings in SAS that may limit the amount of memory SAS uses per session but these can be changed to suit the memory size and performance considerations of your computer (PC or server).
