Hi SAS Experts,
when I want to create a new variable using Information Map Studio
that calculates the mean I do the following:
MEDIAN(<<DMP_T_AVV_ERGEBNIS.NORMMW>>)
the result is a variable of type category and not measure.
Why is MAX(<<DMP_T_AVV_ERGEBNIS.NORMMW>>) a measure
but MEDIAN(<<DMP_T_AVV_ERGEBNIS.NORMMW>>) a category?
Why is there no measure in IMS for the median?
Bye
Hi
You should be able to change this under Data Item Properties, see also attached screenshots.
Why the MEDIAN is not part of the aggregations, I do not know.
NOTE: do not use this infomap to get detailed data, as the median will be calculated over alle the rows.

WRS has only a subset of the aggregations available, so creating a new DataItem in the InformationMap is the way to go.
