Can SAS Event Stream Processing be used to create a Speed and Batch layer? I gathered from the documentation that it seems to be batch only since its done in blocks?

Pretty sure that the use case for ESP is real time/near real time event processing. In that context, it matches the Speed layer in Lambda.

But how actually to use ESP in such scenario, you need to describe more how you intend to set up this architecture, or if it's already exists - descibe it.
