What is the difference between sas DI SQL JOIN & Lookup Transformation?

This DI Studio user guide topic includes a brief description of all transformations:

SAS(R) Data Integration Studio 4.901: User's Guide

If there is an example for that transformation, there is a link to the example. Here is the text about those two transformations:

LookUp -- Loads a target with columns taken from a source and from several lookup tables. For more information, see Loading a Fact Table Using Dimension Table Lookup.

Join -- Selects multiple sets of rows from one or more sources and writes each set of rows to a single target. Typically used to merge two or more sources into one target. Can also be used to merge two or more copies of a single source. For more information, see Creating a Simple SQL Query.
