I am trying to execute a basic data job in Dataflux data management studio, but the job fails with the message 'exited unexpectedly (Failed to start base services, rc=1 (Failed to configure logging.)'. I understand that each job has to be enabled with logging. Enlighten me with your thoughts on the same. I need to execute the job successfully.

Hi - this error message suggests that there is a problem with your log configuration files. You don't ordinarily need to make any changes to log configuration files unless you specifically want to change the logging level for Data Management Studio or you want to change the format or location of the log output file. Typographic errors in log configuration files can lead to the error message you are seeing.

Data Management Studio log configuration files are found in a directory that will look something like this: \DataFluxDataManagementStudio\2.6\etc (but could be different depending on the version of the product and where it was installed) and will have .log.xml extensions.

Revert any changes you may have made to the log configuration files, restart Data Management Studio, and try to run your job again.

If you continue to have problems, please contact SAS Technical Support as the problem might be different from the common scenario I described here.
