I don't believe that "expire" is accurate regarding this, as the BASE SAS 9 certification is still considered to be valid for those of us who earned it.

Thanks for your comment! Here's the thread this video was responding to: Base SAS certification exam last date. It has more info on the exam. And for sure, the BASE SAS 9 certification is definitely still valid. It's just that SAS doesn't offer it anymore.
