Hello Guys,

I came across an error while implementing call symputx inside the macro. Here is the program that i'm trying to execute.

%macro test(data=)

data _null_;
set &data;
array x[4] _character_ ;
suffix=put(_n_,5.);
do i=1 to 4;
call symputx(cats(vname(x[i]),suffix),x[i]);
end;
run;

%mend test;

%test(data=ds1);

%test(data=ds2);

After executing this i'm getting the error as Apparent Symbolic reference not resolved.

Kindly Help me with the solution.

Make sure your macro variables are created in the global symbol table.

call symputx(cats(vname(x[i]),suffix),x[i],'g');

If code gives you problems, always post the whole log of a failing step, using the {i} button.
