Hi SAS Programming Community,

I’m presenting a live “Ask the Expert” webinar on March 15th, 11 AM – Noon ET entitled How Do I Combine Data in SAS®? I’ll cover basics of SQL Joins, the SAS DATA Step Merge and the SAS Studio Query Utility. I’ll also demonstrate, compare and contrast each of these methods for combining data in SAS. Bring your questions. I’ll host a live Q&A session at the end of the webinar.

You will:

  • Learn the basics of the SQL Join and the SAS DATA step merge.
  • Compare and contrast the different methods of combining data.
  • Learn that combining data is made even easier by using the built-in tools of our interfaces like the Query Utility in SAS Studio.
  • Leave with examples you can revisit and practice on your own. the advanced features of SAS survey procs.

Reserve your spot for the webinar.

To merge two or more data sets in SAS, you must first sort both data sets by a shared variable upon which the merging will be based, and then use the MERGE statement in your DATA statement.
