Appending multiple external files

How can I append multiple external files in to one dataset at a time?

I have 50 external files named, apple.txt, orange.txt,.....jackfrt.txt. All have same attributes and columns, only data values different.

Youve posted in the Data Management forum which is for SAS Data Integration and/or DataFlux. Are you using either of those products?
