Dear Community

From now on, SAS® is providing and supporting quarterly updates to the embedded Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) drivers for DataFlux Data Management Studio and DataFlux Data Management Server 2.8 and 2.9.

  • A new update is available for DataFlux Data Management Server , version 2.9 : Hot Fix: J6K004 - Published 05OCT2021 , Download link for J6K004
  • A new update is available for DataFlux Data Management Server , version 2.8 : Hot Fix: H3W004 - Published 05OCT2021 , Download link for H3W004
  • A new update is available for DataFlux Data Management Studio , version 2.9 : Hot Fix: J6J003 - Published 05OCT2021 , Download link for J6J003
  • A new update is available for DataFlux Data Management Studio , version 2.8 : Hot Fix: H9M003 - Published 05OCT2021 Download link for H9M003

With this hot fix, SAS removes support for Apache Spark SQL connectivity through ODBC within SAS Data Management Platform 2.8 and 2.9. Future releases of SAS Data Management, including DataFlux Data Management Studio and DataFlux Data Management Server, will no longer deliver support for Apache Spark SQL connectivity through ODBC. If this driver was used, you can migrate to ODBC or Java Database Connectivity (JDBC) drivers that are available for free from Spark engine vendors.
