Tell how you've used SAS to have a positive impact on your community?
At JHU, I work for local and international projects on infectious diseases control. Projects are majorly on TB, HIV, and STD. I use SAS 9.4 to create data queries, creating monthly report analyzing data, and submitting to city health department, and NIH for decision making and policy changes.
What SAS products are you using and how are you using them?
I use SAS 9.4 to create data queries using macro programming, automating monthly report creation, and data analysis for abstracts, manuscripts, meetings, conferences and grants using regression and other analytical techniques.
What was your most surprising discovery about your work?
Queries and reports once created using SAS 9.4, is a one-time investment of time, and running macros programs weekly saves a lot of work. Previously, team used to do manual query process. SAS macros has changed time-intensive process to just 30 seconds, creating desirable and understandable output.
