Hello All,

I am new to the SAS CI, just wanted to know how the random sampling works using A/B test and split node in SAS CI.

If i want to define my champion challenger in 90:10 basis on % then how the random 10% will be assigned? will it be similar to Oracle random function or some other functions works behind that.

Quick response will be highly appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi,

Under the covers CI uses the SAS function RANUNI(0) to generate the random numbers - where 0 is the seed value which forces the function to use the time of day as the seed to the random function. Then the audience is sorted based on the random number and the requested sample performed.

For more information on RANUNI see the documentation here.

Regards

James
