Well, a new SAS developer portal may not be on the top of your Holiday wish list; however, fear not, it’s there! Earlier this year SAS released a new version of developer.sas.com. Please feel free to check it out.
You'll notice that the SAS Viya API documentation is front and center (as should be the case with any developer portal). But wait, there's more. We scoured SAS digital resources and have identified over 200 developer- and API-related use cases. If you're an open source developer, we've got assets to help get you started and interface with SAS Viya.
SAS programmers, you're covered as well. We have a section on the page dedicated to our various SDKs. Further, we have added resources for SAS solutions and technologies which covers things like SAS Viya Workbench, Trustworthy AI, and Customer Intelligence 360, all geared towards developers. Finally, we have links to the Developers Community and the sassoftware resources on GitHub. It's truly one stop shopping.
We have received very positive feedback from both SAS employees and our users. It let’s us know our hard work is paying off.
This is only the beginning though and we will continue to refine the user experience, add content, and one day have an interactive “Try It” button for our APIs. We are striving to deliver an award worthy product!
