Your software will almost certainly change regularly. This is good, because it means that it is being updated and improved all the time. However, it also means that you need to keep up-to-date.
There are two important aspects of this. First, even if your software is improving, you might still do things the old way. With new updates comes new capabilities and enhancements. I do try to adopt these new capabilities and enhancements in my demos, very often they have a positive impact on my overall demo experience.
Second, keeping up-to-date with developments can help you respond to customer queries with information about forthcoming updates. It is helpful to be able to explain that a new feature is in the pipeline, and when it is likely to be available, especially if that will solve a key customer problem.
