How to become professional and more efficient using SAS Visual Analytics

Control appearance and initial states using URL links and parameters

As you probably know, a SAS Visual Analytics report can be accessed via its individual URL and that can be very useful if you want to build a web-based report portal with links to different SAS Visual Analytics reports/dashboards. However, you can also control both appearance and initial state of a report using URL parameters.

In this video, we will take a closer look into the built-in feature Copy Link and what it can do for us. I will showcase different use-cases how you can control report appearance using built-in parameters and custom defined parameters to control initial state of a report.

1. Introduction - How to generate a report/dashboard URL link (0:39)

2. Control report appearance using built-in parameters (1:36)

3. Dynamically filter a report using an URL parameter value (3:30)

4. Preselect a drop-down list using an URL parameter value (6:31)

5. Other “Copy link” options (8:52)
