@Jahsahnwali1 I assume you are on a Windows PC, and you mean that your laptop turns off or goes to sleep when you close your laptop lid. If this is right, then your power settings are probably set to sleep/power down the laptop when closing the lid. This can be changed in your power settings. The setting is buried rather deep. On my Windows 10 machine, it is: Settings -> Power & Sleep -> Additional Power Settings -> Change Plan Settings -> - Change advanced power settings -> Power buttons and lid.
