virtual machine never starts up I sitting here waiting for 30 minutes and it is still just waiting

this system is very poor and confusing I am unable to start services on the virtual machine.

I have been waiting over 30 minutes 

I have to leave at 4:00 I try again next week

Hi:

  It typically takes 35-45 minutes for the SAS Academy Virtual Lab to start if you do an "immediate" or Reserve Now type of reservation. That means if you click the Reserve button at 3 pm, the image will not be ready for you to log on until sometime between 3:35-3:45. On the other hand, if you make a Reserve Later or future reservation, the image will be ready exactly when you request.

  For example, last night, around 6 pm, I asked for a reservation to be ready for me at 7:30 pm. The image was actually ready and I got my notice at 7:29 pm.

I made that shows both ways of making a reservation. I was logged onto Module 4 when I made my reservation, but the Module that I was in doesn't make a difference because the Virtual Lab Reservation System works the same no matter what module you are working in.

  In the video I call attention to the time stamp at each step between when I made the reservation and when my image was ready -- the times in this video are accurate in my experience. If you do a "Reserve Now" request for a Lab image, I would not expect it to be ready for 35-45 minutes from when you click the Reserve button. That's why I prefer the "Reserve Later" option -- the image is ready at the exact time I ask for..
