Hello,
I am getting error ( WARN) messages when I type pig at the LInux command line. PLease see attachment. This happens at Step 1(b).
I thought that because these are WARNings the LOAD command at Step 1(d) might still work. Unfortunately, the LOAD commnad did not work at step 3.
Please help - without loading the data I cannot do any of the PIG exercises or follow the demos on my machine.
Thanks.
Odesh.

The WARNING is the screen shot is benign. It’s just showing some logging stuff. After the student types pig at the Linux command line, the student should see the GRUNT command line, indicating the connection to the cluster is ready to go. We see this each and EVERY time we invoke pig.
Grunt>
At this point, they can start writing their LOAD statement, etc.

In your screen shot, I think I can see the Grunt> command line toward the bottom of the screen, so it sounds like the Warning is something to expect.
Hope this helps,
Cynthia

I will try this again this morning. Yesterday, I tried this 3 times. I got the 3 WARN messages plus the Grunt> command line. I entered the LOAD command 3 times. I exited from LINUX, came back in and still the same error. I will reserve some time on VLE this morning and try it again.
In the meantime, is it possible to ask the technical people to make sure that my setup/environment is fine and not missing anything ( authorization etc ) ?
Thanks.
Odesh.
The problem seems to be that there are no csv data files in the DATA folder. Please see attachment. I am sending this to both the SAS communities and the technical people. How can we load the csv files to the DATA folder ?
Regards.
Odesh.
