Hello,
I am looking to find out if there is a good replacement for the cgm format using sas/graph. CGM is not supported in Adobe Indesign CS2, and I have had several issues with eps and ps formats produced by SAS. Is there a different prefered format?

Thank you for your time.

Hi:
SAS/Graph has more graphic format capabilities (called device drivers) than you can probably use. I always suggest reading this most excellent Tech Support set of documents. While they may not seem immediately relevant (because they talk about PDF and Microsoft Office) they are very informative and once you read the info, you will have a better picture about the different device drivers and the issues involved (fonts, colors) in using the device drivers.
If your product supports GIF images, PNG images, JPEG images or many other kinds of image types, then SAS can create them. As far as ODS is concerned, you usually only need to specify the device driver in your device= option and ODS does whatever it needs to do to get you your image. You can also bypass ODS completely and go the GSF (graphics stream method) approach and both approaches are outlined in the Tech Support documents below.
