filename http and XML file

Is there a way for using
filename xx http 'http://place.com/file.xml';

and xml libname engine on mainframe?

What action do you expect to happen? And, consider: new with SAS 9.2, you may want to explore using SAS PROC SOAP with a "web service" environment. Or maybe you are attempting to import an XML document from an FTP server machine - then you would want to explore using the FTP access method, not HTTP.

Hi,
we don't have 9.2 on mainframe so we can't use anything 'new'. The data is located on European Central Bank and can be retrieved on http-method.

TechSupport helped me! Map-file has to be transferred binary to mainframe and everything works fine.
