I am trying to convert a number to a time format. The numbers are currently in a 4. format. I have tried using the time8. format which has given an incorrect output. Can anyone help?

try informat hhmmss4.

this may look like what you want if you use format mmss. because it assumes the 4 digits are mmss rather than hhmm.
