Quick Convert of Character Variables to Numeric – 500+ variables.

I’m given a text file, fix position, with over 500 variables in it. I’m not told which ones are numeric and which are character so I read them all in as characters. Is there a quick and easy way to get SAS to convert the one that could be numeric?

This is not really an ODS or BASE reporting question. You could look up how the INPUT statement works and the INPUT function (to turn a character variable into a number) or you could contact Tech Support for help with this specific question.
