Would like to cap my report at the top X observations.  Like if I had 10 students heights and only wanted to out the top 5 tallest.

Any thoughts?

If you sorted your data by descending height then reported on the first 5 rows that would do it.

proc sort data = students;

  by descending height;

run;

proc report data = students (obs = 5);

Thanks for the reply.

That works, but I'm hoping to feed use a computed report variable to do my obs... I may have to add a few steps to do it, essentially, that way though.
