ODS PDF graph legend on next page

Dear all,

we have a plot on pdf with many entries in the legend. The legend now gets so big that the plot gets too small.

Is it possible to tell SAS to print the plot on one page and the legend on the next page?

Unfortunately the legend also has long strings that are shortened automatically. Can I tell SAS not to do this?

Depending on your graph you may be able to move the legen to a different location, such as to the side and run items in columns without too much affect.

It would help to provide, at a minimum, the current legend syntax you are using.

Another option will be use an annotate data set and GSLIDE to create a separate graphic that looks like a legend.

This is most likely a GRAPH question and may get better responses in that part of the forum.

If the graph has so many entries, is it even possible to read and understand it? To see the patterns and trends?

You might want to consider a different strategy such as small multiples (sometimes called trellis displays).
