I am creating an HTML document with an XLS extension. When the ods statement finishes, I get a dialog asking if I want to Open or Save the resulting document. How can I disable the dialog?

Hi:
I believe this happens if you don't have a local copy of Office or if your Windows registry does not associate Excel with the file extension XLS. This will also happen if you don't have a local copy of Word (to open RTF). The fix is to change the file extension association -- as described here for RTF:

It also happens when SAS wants to display the results automatically. You should take a look at the TOOLS > OPTIONS > PREFERENCES menu, then the RESULTS tab, and uncheck the VIEW RESULTS AS THEY ARE GENERATED check box.
It may prevent the dialog box from openning.

Olivier
