Hello,

I have several SAS scripts that automate exporting data to an excel document via the ods excel file statement.  When I do this, the excel document opens automatically once completed.  Is there an option or a way to modify the statement so the excel document doesn't open automatically?

Thanks!

You environment may change the required approach.

One way in base SAS is to go to the Tool>Options>Preferences>Results menu choices and then unselect the "View results as they are generated" option. But that turns off automatic opening of anything untill the option is reset.

Thanks @ballardw.  That did the trick.  I appreciate it.
