Hi,

I am creating a pdf using sas ods pdf and proc report. What i thought was is it really possible to create a template in active pdf and then link it with sas? the template will have the variables which will be passed from sas procedures. This way the template is always fixed and i need not do any manual work again and again.

I am using sas 9.2 in UNIX atmosphere. Any suggestion?

Hi:
I'm not sure what you mean by a "template" -- SAS has 2 different types of "templates" -- GREPLAY & SAS/GRAPH templates and ODS templates (table, style, graph and tagset).

It almost sounds to me like you want to create a PDF form and then collect the data for the form into an Acrobat XDF file or whatever the Adobe new form XML is.

Can you clarify?? I know that there are some SAS system options in 9.2 that are designed to work only for PDF -- you should be able to find them in the doc.
