Could you please advise how to put two lines into the title as shown on the picture below using Proc Template.

Thank you!5.jpg

It is the style.  Bordertop and bottom.

http://support.sas.com/documentation/cdl/en/odsug/65308/HTML/default/viewer.htm#n1l2gcv43fk5e2n15szl...

Set left and right to white, top and bottom to black.

Although looking at that picture further, that looks like some sort of table of contents, how is it being produced?

Thank you, RW9!

It is not the content list itself. I have just deleted project-essential information.

And if the destination is RTF, you have the additional option of possibly using RTF control strings. but if the destination is PDF, then you'll have to use the border settings.

That does not look like report output. Are you getting that page using CONTENTS='YES' for RTF or PDF??? Which destination?

Hi Cynthia,

It is not sas-output actually. It is a page from 'TLF shells'. Why the "CONTENTS='YES'" would be useful here?

Hi:
I don't recognize "TLF shells" -- is that a special program or type of output?

In ODS PDF and ODS RTF, you can use CONTENTS=YES to get a Table of Contents, as shown in this Tech Support Note: http://support.sas.com/kb/24/602.html and for RTF, specifically, this paper: http://www2.sas.com/proceedings/forum2007/097-2007.pdf (the paper focuses on 2 methods to get a TOC in ODS RTF).

"TLF shells" means "TABLE, FIGURE, AND LISTING SHELLS" and is part of Statistical Analysis Plan used in clinical trials.
Thank you for the links - I have to look into the topic deeper.

Hi:
My understanding about a lot of the programs related to Clinical Trials programming is that they use a combination of PROC PRINT, PROC TABULATE and PROC REPORT. This is why the Report Writing 1 class is recommended as part of the SAS preparation for the Clinical Trials Programmer certification exam, as shown here: https://www.sas.com/en_us/certification/credentials/foundation-tools/clinical-trials-programmer/clin... where you see that Report Writing 1 is one of the 5 classes recommended as preparation.
