I am new to SAS but have completed PI & PII.

I am heavy Teradata user and want to know how to connect my SAS software to my TD server. Can someone provide details or point me in the right direction?

I am running SAS 9.1 Windows Version

Thanks

have you a licence for SAS/Access to Teradata, or SAS/Access to ODBC ?

Find some examples in the various pieces of Teradata-specific SAS documentation:

SAS/ACCESS 9.1.3 Supplement for Teradata (SAS/ACCESS for Relational Databases), Second Edition**
This supplement explains how SAS/ACCESS software has been customized to accommodate the particular requirements and capabilities of your DBMS.

if you don't already have the book, I would recommend buying it : e.g.from
http://www.sas.com/apps/pubscat/bookdetails.jsp?pc=60844

(as I like both paper and searchable-electronic versions : ) It is available for download at http://support.sas.com/documentation/onlinedoc/91pdf/sasdoc_913/access_teradata_9298.pdf

SAS online doc for the web, points to Teradata at http://support.sas.com/onlinedoc/913/getDoc/en/acreldb.hlp/a002299548.htm

Good Luck
