Because of memory issues, I'm trying to split up a table and export positions in batches.

I'm trying to use 'libname xls excel file.xlsx', but all I get is:

ERROR: Connect: Class not registered
ERROR: Error in the LIBNAME statement.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

Check the link below. It explains about the error and how to resolve it.

Changed it to

libname xlsx excel "&out_dir\test.xlsx"

which still gives the same error.

Making it

libname xlsx excel test.xlsx

Gives me

ERROR: You need to specify a data source or prompt for it.

ERROR: Error in the LIBNAME statement.

I want to use the first one, because it needs to be written to that folder.
