Abstract:
Every SAS programmer has at least once started a line with ‘%Macro’. If we took a poll, have you even seen the words ‘Proc Lua’ in a SAS program before? This presentation will introduce this unusual, but powerful way of structuring large-scale SAS programs and analytical pipelines. The presentation will explore a real-life example of designing a risk rating model in SAS using Proc Lua. Lastly, lessons learned from 2+ years of utilizing Proc Lua will be presented.
