new student user of sas

i needed to see if i can get information re:  training for new users.  in particular i was interested in sas programming1:  essentials.  are these at a cost only?  i need to learn sas and i have access already as a student and how can i do that without incurring additional cost for certification? 

any assistance appreciated.
