on the process of installing SAS , there is one step that require me input external user ID, what's a external user ID ?  Thank you.

These are userIDs that exist in your operating system. One of them is sassrv, which is used to start SAS server processes (stored process, pooled workspace).

These differ from purely internal users, which only exist in metadata, like sasadm@saspw, the SAS Administrator
