Hi guys,

It seems the instructions in bellow link for proc export/import don't contain all statements/options.

https://documentation.sas.com/?docsetId=proc&docsetTarget=n0ku4pxzx3d2len10ozjgyjbrpl9.htm&docsetVer...

For example, the DBMS option only has 4 valid values (i.e. csv, dlm, jmp, tab), but I know other values such as exce, xls, xlsx are also valid actually. Another example is that we usually use statements such as GETNAME, DATAROW, SHEET  when importing data from an excle file, however, I couldn't find official instuctions to these stataments from SAS support website. So where can I find a full set of statements and options for proc import/export? Thanks.

This is because many of the options / statements are only applicable if you have SAS/ACCESS for PC Files. Your original link only included the Base SAS options.

Thanks. Do you know where to find some other statements such as SHEET, MIXED for proc import (I even remember there is statement to filter specified data area from a sheet but can't recall the statement name)? These statements we usually use, but I have never found the instruction.

@txh

I believe the challenge here is that the available syntax for Proc Export/Import depends on the SAS modules licensed.

If you've got Base SAS only then what you have available is what's documented under the link you've posted.

If you have also SAS/Access Interface to PC File Server licensed then you get additional functionality for these procedures as documented here
