SAS Enterprise access

Can someone tell me how to access SAS enterprise? The only application I can access is SAS studio through the webpage https://welcome.oda.sas.com/home?regionalEvent=timeout&regionalEventSource=us-west-2a

Do you mean SAS Enterprise Guide?  I believe you have to purchase SAS software in order to get Enterprise Guide.  @ChrisHemedinger is sort of the end-all, be-all for Enterprise Guide and would know definitively the answer to this.  🙂  Isn't that correct, Chris, that one has to purchase SAS software in order to get Enterprise Guide?

So, the question is, do you have purchased SAS software installed on the machine you are using?  As far as I know SAS on Demand, University Edition (does that still exist?), etc. will not come with the ability to use SAS Enterprise Guide.

Programming 1 certification and the training courses include demos using
SAS Enterprise Guide. To prepare for the certification test do you need to
purchase SAS Enterprise Guide?

I believe when you do the certification exam you'll also have access to SAS Studio. Also, the programming is the exact same so it doesn't really matter which one you learn on though learning a new interface during an exam is not ideal.

Hi:
There is not any interface specific content on the Certification exam. Please review the Exam Content Guide https://www.sas.com/content/dam/SAS/documents/technical/certification/content-guide/specialist-base-... -- that is the comprehensive list of topics that are covered on the exam. You will see that there are NOT any interface topics in the Content Guide.

The Programming 1 class has 2 (two) Enterprise Guide specific demos, created for those Programming 1 students who use Enterprise Guide through their work license. You do NOT need to have access to Enterprise Guide in order to prepare for the Base Programmer exam. All of the other demos in the Programming 1 class -- ALL of the other demos -- use SAS Studio. When you take the certification exam, you will have access to all of the main interfaces so that you can take the hands-on part of the exam using the interface that you are most comfortable with.

SAS Studio is the free learning offering for SAS. It also has a GUI based interface or a coding interface but is different than Enterprise Guide or Enterprise Miner.

If you take an EG specific course, I believe you do get cloud access to Enterprise Guide.

SAS UE is being retired in the next few weeks (June or July I think) and SAS On Demand for Academics is the cloud equivalent. It has limits though but works well generally.
