our Dev/SIT sas environment is clustered architecture with multiple levs installed and configured (lev1,Lev2,....single metadata & lev7/8/9(Cluster) boxes having separate metadata services running for each level but common compute tiers servers which are 4 grid1,grid 2,grid 3 & grid 4 for all metadata servers?
Ex: lev1
/opt/sas94/Lev1/Meta/... (Metadata path)
/opt/sas94/Compute/Lev1 (Compute path)
Recently we ran hotfix report on our servers and came to know we have bunch of hotfixes pending to apply in our environment.during initial SAS installation and configuring there are only few hotfixes which are applied since then there are many hotfixes pending to apply in our environment to make our environment stable and smooth.
So our next action is to apply all pending hotfixes up-todate. few questions
1) how do we apply all of these list of hot fixes. ?
1) Can we download all hotfixes which are required and apply all of them in single shot by putting all downloads in hotfix path for each and every server separately by launching via SAS GUI deployment manager ? or do we need to apply single hotfix at a time ?
2) Also we need to apply these hotfixes in each metadata and compute grid nodes ?
please let us know how do we proceed further . thanks
