silly question, I can't run any code as my run button is greyed out. After reviewing other suggestions I attempted to use command prompt and "sas /regserver" to make it recognize that I have a legitimate install. I am attempting to use this without connecting to an external server and have selected "do not use a profile"

For context I have had extensive issues installing and there may have been an issue within that as well. I have tried a full uninstall and reinstall to fix it but to no success.

Looks like you are using Enterprise Guide connected to local SAS. I'd suggest trying to start SAS from the Windows Start menu - see yellow program:

That should open the SAS Windowing System. If that works OK then there should be no reason you can't get it going from EG. One reason why it might not work is if your licence has expired. Post a screenshot of any errors that are displayed.
