Rename the values in String variable

Dear All,

I have some product names in the product variable i want to rename some of the strings in that variable let's say Anil, Anilkumar, Ani - rename to Anilkumar and create new product variable. 

Here i have product names dictionary in another file. now i want to map the product names from raw data with product name dictionary.

I want to use Loops for this because i want to generate weekly and monthly reports. 

Can we automate this?

For mappings, yo usually don't do loops (at least not in SAS).

You can do table look-ups in several ways, including SQL join, and put function using a user defined format (created from your mappng table).
