Whenever I try to import SAS University Edition Free into Oracle Virtual Box, it says it cannot because the file is a .ova file rather than a .ovf file. How, then, do I get a .ovf file?

That's weird. OVA is a zipped file of OVF files so you could try changing the extension to zip, uncompressing it and seeing if that works but I strongly suspect that's not the actual issue here.

When you're importing the file is there's also a little drop down that allows you to select file type - by the file name location? If so, can you change the type there?
