What field are you trying to get into? Pick something of interest to you and analyze it. trying to buy a house in your area? See if your local government has house assessment and property values and see what type of analysis you can do?
Trying to get a job? Get all the stats on employment and do some cool visualization or reporting.
Interested in sports? Get some cricket or basketball data and determine what factors influence the best player or team.
