Hi!

I am a new user of SAS and needed some help merging columns.

I have a dataset in which there are two columns and I would like them to be merged to produce one column however it will contain character and numerical values.

Section         Division                               I would like it to look like this ->                    Industry

A                  1                                                                                                                A1

B                  2                                                                                                                B2

B                  3                                                                                                                B3

C                 4                                                                                                                 C4

D                 5                                                                                                                 D5

just wondering how I would go about merging these two columns?

Thanks!

Jaina
