From which other platform?

Please show your code and log.

With database (or database-like) systems you can directly access the data if you have the respective ACCESS module licensed and properly set up. If you don't have the ACCESS, exporting to a text file and reading that with a data step is the best solution.

Any time you have a question about an error (or failure) copy your log including the code and any notes, warnings or errors from the code, on the forum open a text box using the </> icon above the message window and then paste the log text.

The text box is important because often SAS provides diagnostic characters indicating where an error was found and the text box will preserve the formatting of those characters. The main message windows will reformat the pasted text making them less useful.
