Help with a function

Can anyone suggest or know a function which could search a word or a string from a data.

for eg: Kirito is interested in SAS And SAS is Amazing. SAS uses proc sql. I am a new user of SAS. SAS made analysis of data easier. 

Now I want to know how many times SAS occurred in the paragraph above.

What function should I use?

Go here Dictionary of Functions and CALL Routines 

Then look for functions the name of which indicates that they are for COUNTing. You will find what you're looking for.

This exercise will enhance your documentation-fu.
