Hi all,

Struggling to load in a dataset - new user. Rather than the hassle of back and forth Qs on a thread - would anyone be ok with hopping onto MS teams and helping loading it in please  - should hopefully be straightforward?

Many thanks ,

Craig

Craig,
If you could answer a few basic questions, I could help you here in the forum. Arranging "synchronous time" is usually trickier than the back-and-forth Q&A. So:

  1. How are you running SAS? Examples: Enterprise Guide, SAS Studio, PC SAS, Unix command line, etc.
  2. What type of data are you trying to load? Examples: Excel, CSV, SAS Data set, Oracle table, etc.
  3. Where is the data currently located? Examples: on my hard drive, on a network drive, on my SAS server, in a database.
  4. What have you tried so far? Examples: wrote a program (please share the code), used a Task in SAS Studio or Enterprise Guide, etc.
  5. What indications are you getting when it doesn't work? Examples: Errors in the SAS log (please share the entire log), a pop up dialog window (please share a screen shot)

That should go a long way towards getting you the help you need.

All the best,

Mark
