I would like to know how to create a CSV file from a SAS table using DI Studio. I have actually seen a similar question asked on the forum but the answer is kinda confusing. Will be glad if someone can help with some form of pictorial depiction. Thanks.

Basic steps are to create an External File object, and then use the File Writer transformation.

Unfortunately, this transformation/concept is one of least quality in DIS, but if your lucky your use case might work right off...(too little details in your post to give more information).

More Details: We get some unstructured Data from an external source. Do some transformations to it in the DI Studio to split it into different component columns and make sense of it. It is the end product that we will now be outputting to a csv file.

You should make sense of the data before designing and building ETL processes.Enterprise Guide and Explaoratin in VA are better tools for this step.
Can't say that this extra information gives more input on CSV generation itself.

Let us know if there any more spcific questions/issues you might have before you can proceed.
