Hi there,

I'm using the imexamine command on IRAF to record some values of the stars in a picture. However after my 48th star, I get an error saying;

ERROR: floating point overflow

I've restarted the program and it only allows me to do one point. I've even tried recording the values of the star in another file and the same error shows up.

Is there any way to overcome this error?

1) Show your SAS code. Preferably with a small set of data if needed that duplicates the problem.

A quick search shows that your mentioned IRAF is likely to be third party (non-SAS) software. So the issue may well be in that software.
