I have a Mac OS Computer. Using the File Import node, I am trying to import an Excel file. When I "browse computer" to locate the file to import, the file is not listed. I have moved the file to various locations on the Mac (desktop, documents, download, etc.).

Any suggestions on how to overcome this issue would be greatly appreciated!

File Import node of what?  Are you using Enterprise Guide?  Doesn't that only run under Windows?  Are you using SAS/Studio?

In either case where is the SAS session that the GUI tool you are using run?

My apologies for not providing the specific information to fully explain the situation.

Using Enterprise Miner, created a new diagram and added a File Import Node with the purpose of uploading an excel file for use in analysis.

Files must be in the myfolders folder or another shared folder you set up in the Virtual Machine. Other folders are not accessible to the Virtual Machine.

Thank you Reeza for your response! Do you mean that to import an excel file directly into Enterprise Miner I need to first create a myfolders folder in Enterprise Miner please? Thank you,

You never mentioned you were using EM and I assumed you were using SAS UE. Please disregard my response.
