While installing SAS on my windows machine I am getting following error :-
SAS installation data file is invalid

Run the SAS depot validation tool to confirm if your depot is OK or not. You will find this in the depot utilities\depotchecker folder.
SID files are typically where the licensing information is stored.
You may have received a separate file that needs to be referenced at a point in the install, as in a dialog box that asks you to indicate which file to use.
If you don't have an SID file at all contact whoever you went through to get your license.
If applying a current licence file (SID) doesn't help then I'd suggest opening a SAS Tech Support track. They can diagnose the problem by analysing the installation log.
