we can use both cards and datalines keywords to assign values to variable declared by input key word. They both provide same output. I just want to know is there any difference b/w these two ? or apart from this they have some other usage as well.

No. No difference. As you can see from the Datalines Documentation, the Cards Statement is an alias of it.
